Pamela S. Ramey
Pamela Ramey has had a life-long interest in art. It began in earnest when, at the age of fourteen, she was commissioned by a gallery in Nashville, Tennessee to create ten watercolors. It continued to grow when, in her teens and early twenties, she was fortunate to visit art galleries across Europe and the United States. During this time she began to appreciate art in general; from interior design to visual arts. It was also during this time she gravitated toward a modern/contemporary style in her personal works.
Pamela has been able to continue her passion in both interior design and her personal artwork into her thirties. Over the past twenty years her art has been commissioned by private collectors throughout the Midwest. She has created work for clients in multiple mediums including oil, watercolor, acrylics, pastels, and fabric.
Her work in interior design has had broad appeal in residential, commercial, and hotel properties in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Indianapolis. She has received numerous awards for residential interior design by the homebuilders associations in Indianapolis & Greater Cincinnati. In 2006, her interior design work was featured in Midwest Living magazine.
Pamela has donated a portion of her proceeds from the sales of her personal artwork to the Women’s Crisis Center for Northern Kentucky, Fairhaven Mission, Habitat for Humanity, The Disabled American Veterans, and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). In addition to her personal art and design activities, recently Pamela has chosen to support orphaned children in Uganda, Africa. She facilitates the sale of batik art created by orphaned children and young adults. The proceeds help fund the purchase of food, water, shelter, and school supplies in the villages.
